I´m a former radio ameteur, I started in the 80s and stopped modulating at the 90s.
Now this issue is resurfacing strongly is Spain and I would to rejoin. Justo with the adquisition of a motorhome, and the need to communicate with other firends of the group, I would like to install my old Midlan Alan 48 and my old Santiago 600 antenna. But I would like to ask you a question first.

My old station has no AM, it only has FM. At the time someone offered me to put it AM (40 channels in FM + 40 channels in AM), but I refused because at that time the device still in guarantee.
Apparently it was a very simple operation that was done in a few minutes and cost 2.000pts (12€).
I can`t find anything in the forums about this modificatión, or the tutorials have been lost, or the images were lost.

It is the reason that I`m wirting you in the hope that you can help me.

If it look like the second version does it say multi on the faceplate or not?
