ROMANIAN RADIO AMATEURS GET 70MHZ
As of April 14, all Radio Amateurs in Romania have access to the 70 MHz band.
All Romanian Radio Amateurs can run up to 20 watts output in 70.000 - 70.300MHz on a Secondary basis and the maximum emission bandwidth is 12.5 kHz. It is understood that individual requests must be made to the regulator ANCOM prior to operation.
The regulation changes granted Class III operators access to all Amateur bands from 136 kHz to 250 GHz. Class I operators can now apply for an extension of the power limit to 1 kW, they had been restricted to 400 watts on HF.
In Romanian there are 3 classes of Amateur Radio licence. All classes now have access to all bands the only difference between them is the level of power that can be run. On the HF bands the power levels are: Class 1 - 400 watts (with extension to 1 kW on request) Class 2 - 200 watts Class 3 - 100 watts
